Donostia-San Sebastián

San Sebastián is a jewel of the Cantabrian coast, a city for the senses and for those with refined taste.

La Concha is the iconic San Sebastián beach and one of the best urban beaches in Europe. Ondarreta, also known as the "beach of the dukes", lies at the foot of the Royal Sites, while Zurriola, the surfers' beach, is the third must-visit. The beauty of the bay together with mounts Igueldo and Urgull is unique in Europe.

The Old Town: without a doubt the place for tapas (pintxos). You'll find every kind of hot and cold pintxo, classic taverns, restaurants and traditional txocos where you can enjoy local cured meats and any culinary delight you can think of. The old town also has a remarkable cultural offering, including the Bretxa Market.

Discovering the architecture: walking along the Urumea river, crossing pedestrian parks and reaching the Boulevard, you'll come across the city's cultural treasures — perfect for art lovers. The Buen Pastor Cathedral and the city's gastronomy will leave a lasting impression on any visitor.

Zarautz

Zarautz is one of the most renowned coastal towns in the Basque Country. Its txakoli, made with the best local grapes, is a must-try. We recommend visiting the San Sebastián wineries, one of the most emblematic family-run wineries that still produces wine in the most traditional way after two generations. Comfortable wine tastings can be booked in advance.

Getaria

Getaria is a charming fishing village famous for its grilled fish and txakoli wine. Don't miss a walk to San Anton, popularly known as the "Mouse of Getaria" because of its shape, and a visit to the church of San Salvador. The town also celebrates Juan Sebastián Elcano, the first sailor to circumnavigate the globe.

Hondarribia

Hondarribia is one of the most charming towns in the Basque Country. Its walled old quarter preserves its medieval character intact and is a delight to explore.

Hondarribia is also well known for its excellent restaurants, both in the old town and in the Marina district by the harbour, famous for its grilled fish.

The town's fortified walls, towers and historic buildings make every walk a journey through history and culture. The colourful houses of the fishing port are a postcard image of the Basque coast.

It also offers extensive coastal paths and beaches just a short distance away.

Chillida Leku

Chillida Leku is a unique museum built around the old Zabalaga farmhouse. The sculptures by Eduardo Chillida — in iron, steel, granite and other materials — are integrated into the rural landscape, creating a perfect dialogue between art and nature.

Santa Bárbara

From here you can enjoy spectacular views: on one side, the surrounding mounts; on the other, mount Adarra and on the horizon, Aiako Harria. At its foot stands a small chapel, a 14th-century listed monument.
